Feb. 1st

Ice has again come to the 10-inch mark and the ice men are making a start for the harvest.

A.B. Kendall is going this week to Yarmouth looking for a position as manager for a large farm there.

Mr. Wm. Burke came home from Lynn last Wednesday the 27th having had a nice visit. Will says that work is hard to get at Uncle Sam’s.

This month, February, is about the only time we can do any sledding this part of the country. The wood piles and ice houses must now be filled up in the next three weeks, when we will be looking for Spring.
