Annapolis County Chronicles is an independent project dedicated to preserving society columns from early 20th-century local newspapers.

Week by week, these columns recorded the small but meaningful details of everyday life — who was visiting, who was ill, who celebrated a milestone, and community events and organizations.

On this site, you’ll find carefully transcribed and searchable society news that I hope will be help to local and family historians and anyone curious about the people that were once part of Annapolis County, Nova Scotia.

Currently work is focused on the years 1914-1919, with the goal of expanding to other years over time.
