Mr. B.W. Roscoe went to Halifax yesterday on a business trip.
Mr. Wm. Chipman was in town for a few days the early part of the week.
Mr. L.R. Fairn, of Aylesford, was in town for a few hours on Monday.
Miss Juanita Bishop has returned from a visit among relatives in Annapolis Royal.
Mr. and Mrs. D.G. Harlow and daughter Thelma, were passengers to Boston last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rice, of Bear River were in town yesterday and registered at the St. James’ Hotel.
We are pleased to see our respected townsman, Mr. Albert Morse, able to be out again after prolonged illness.
Mr. Jas. E. Connell, Manager of the Western Chronicle, Kentville, was in town the early part of this week.
Miss May Phelan was a passenger to Boston last Saturday and will visit relatives and friends in that city and its suburbs.
Mr. O.F. Ruffes has been confined to his home for several days on account of illness and is under the care of his physician.
Mr. Geo. Hannington went to Shediac, N.B., on Monday to attend the funeral of his sister, whose death was announced elsewhere.
Mr. Allison FitzRandolph left Monday for Antigonish, where he will attend the annual meeting of the N.S. Farmers’ Association as the representative of the N.S. Fruit Growers’ Association.
Mrs. A.L. Anderson is spending a few days in Halifax. Her two sons, Greatorex and DeBlois are members of the 25th Nova Scotia Regiment of the Second Canadian Contingent for overseas service.
Dr. Fred W. Young, of Lawrencetown, went through a critical operation at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, on Saturday last. A card received yesterday (Tuesday) stated that he was resting comfortably. The Monitor joins with the Dr.’s host of friends in wishing him a speedy recovery to health.
