Jan. 25th

Mr. Arthur Weirs is visiting his sister Mrs. Stanley McCall.

Preaching service Sunday evening was conducted by Rev. Mr. McWilliam.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tibideau on the arrival of a son, Jan. 18th.

Mrs. William Goodwin and sister Pearl are visiting friends and relatives in St. John.

We are sorry to report Mrs. Trueman McGrath on the sick list but glad to learn she is slowing recovering.

The concert Saturday evening was a grand success and in spite of the heavy downpour of rain a large number were present and the sum of $21.40 was realized for the Belgians.

On Jan. 19th Vesta Lottie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McGarth, was united in marriage to Mr. Austin Foley. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Driffield of Digby. Mr. and Mrs. Foley will reside with the bride’s parents for the Winter. We extend best wishes for a prosperous wedded life.

We are among the number that are ready to help the Belgians. An Aid Society for that purpose was organized last week and the following officers were elected: –

President – Mrs. Fred McNeil

Vice-President – Mrs. Thomas Ellis

Secretary – Miss L.B. Berry

Treasurer – Mrs. Stephen Ellia.
