Miss Vera Eaton spent the week-end with friends in Clementsvale.
Mr. Herman Calnek who has been in Boston and Philadelphia during the past year is at home.
Mrs. Claire Bent and little Paul, of Tupperville are visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Withers.
Mrs. Daniel Parker who came from Yarmouth last week to attend the funeral of her sister Mrs. James, has returned to her home.
Miss Lulu Withers who has been teaching in the West for the past year and later visiting her sister, Mrs. Chester Wade at Bassano, Alberta, returned home on Friday of last week.
Death has again visited our community and this time claimed as its victim, Mrs. Hannah James, who was a daughter of the last Joseph Gilliatt of this place. Mrs. James had been an invalid for over twenty years. Patient in affliction, she has gone to her reward. Her death occurred at the age of 67 years at the home of her cousin, Mrs. W.A. Gilliatt, where she had been taken care of during the last few months of her life. In the absence of her pastor the funeral service was conducted by Rev. C.W. Neish.
